Fuel consumption and carbon emission monitoring system for ships

Amendments to MARPOL Annex VI on Data collection system for fuel oil consumption of ships, adopted by resolution MEPC.278(70), entered into force on 1 March 2018. Ships of 5000 gross tonnage and above are obliged to collect consumption data of fuel oil used, and report this to the Flag State after the end of every calendar year, but not later than till May 30. IMO, after gathering data from Flag State will produce an annual report to MEPC, summarizing the data collected.

Trident BMC provides a complex solution for the supply and installation of fuel consumption and carbon emission monitoring system for ships. Our team of professional technicians will smoothly take you through the process of engineering and installation of the system, with minimum interruption of the vessel operation.

Apart from gathering data for reporting, the system in real-time provides data to the bridge about the current fuel consumption, gas emission, and allows adjusting engine parameters to achieve optimal fuel consumption during the voyage. Another benefit of having fuel consumption and carbon emission monitoring system onboard is the monitoring and verification of the bunkering process. There will be no more doubt about the quantity, density, and temperature of the received fuels.

All data are stored in the cloud, and in real-time can be analyzed on the shore.

The system is compliant with marine emission monitoring regulations EU MRV and IMO DCS.
